Memorial Day 2014

Hello friends! I wanted to do a quick post of my red, white, and blue manicure that I did for Memorial Day. I hope that you all had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and remember the reason why this day exists -- to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

Memorial Day Nails

I know that these photos are atypical from my usual 'style.' The cloudy weather forced me to actually go outside and snap some photos. (The downside of using natural lighting is that the weather/time of day dictates when and where you take your photos. I have yet to learn how to use artificial lighting... Do you have any tips or tricks?)

I really enjoyed using this loose glitter to make a border around my nails and the fan-brush technique (on the middle finger nail) was so easy.

For these Memorial Day nails, I used:
OPI Dutch Tulips (red polish)
Finger Paints Midnight Sleigh Ride (blue polish)
Laquerlicious Fireworks & Freedom (glitter polish)
Red, White, and Blue Acrylic Paint
Red, Blue, and Silver Loose Glitter
Born Pretty Star Stud (#7277)

Thank you to those men and women that serve our country. <3

Jenna
