SCRATCH Nail Wrap Review

As a nail artist, there are definite times where I feel so uninspired or can’t seem to paint anything good. Luckily I haven’t had to feel like this because I’ve been exploring easy ways to make nail art fun and super easy lately. ;) First it was vintage nail decals but now I have some bold nail wraps to share today. I love sharing products that make nail art easy, fast, and cheap! So let’s take a look at these super pretty nail wraps by Scratch. :)

Scratch Nail Wrap Review
Nail Wraps by Scratch

Scratch sent me 2 different designs to try out; the polka dot design is called Sweet Spot and the geometric design is called Enchanted Windows.

Sweet Spot nail wraps aren’t your standard polka dot mani. You can see that this dotticure is spiced up!

The bright pink, yellow, and aqua dots are perfect on the white base.

The only ‘problem’ that I’ve come across with Sweet Spot is that you have to be aware of your nail length. If you have short nails (like my pinky nail), you may not even get to see any of the pretty aqua polka dots. :( That was really sad! I’m glad that my other fingers were long enough to show all 3 colors but do keep this in mind when looking at any nail wraps because you don’t want to have your favorite part of the nail wrap not even show up on your nail. >.<

Whenever I do polka dots, I generally use one color for the base and one color for the dots so this design made me feel so special with three different colored and perfectly uniformed dots. xD

Enchanted Windows is most definitely my favorite nail wrap design out of these 2 though! I’m sure you can guess why. xD

Neon stained glass window nails in less than 10 minutes? Um, yes please. Bright pink, green, orange, and aqua are my favorite colors! :D

Enchanted Windows should not have the ‘issue’ that Sweet Spots had because the stain glassed design is all over the nail wrap. So, no matter what nail length, you are guaranteed to have neon geometric designs on your nails. ;)

Thank you Scratch for letting me try out your nail wrap brand! I love how chic all your patterns are and the fact that some wraps are actually translucent so you can pair the design with ANY nail polish color you already have. :) I have never seen that before!

Final Thoughts
I am very happy to be introduced to another nail wrap brand in the United States! There are some tips that I have to make these nail wraps last and look their best too. The first tip when working with Scratch Nail Wraps, do not apply a clear topcoat! I have had some nail wraps when adding a clear topcoat can help them last longer/it doesn’t do anything to the design but that is not the case with Scratch. The wraps will actually crackle and shrink if you apply a clear topcoat. I was just experimenting but do not ruin your beautiful appliques by making this mistake.

The second tip is make sure to file the wrap to the tip of your nail and don’t leave any excess hanging off it possible. Scratch does provide a mini file for you so be sure to use it. :) I took a shower with these wraps and the wraps that weren’t filed correctly did have the tips lift when I got out. (Tsk tsk.. washing my hair..) However, those wraps that I did apply ‘the right way’ had no change nor were peeling when I came out of the shower. ;D So note to self: If you want these wraps to be long lasting like they’re supposed to be, then take the time to file them all the way to the tip! :)
