"Maybe 'okay' will be ours always."
- The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
It's official you guys -- I have cried with one of my best girl friends in a movie theater for the first time and you can probably guess what we watched. </3 After several requests on Instagram and also having my friend make me go to this movie with her, I decided it was time to do The Fault in Our Stars (FIOS) inspired nails. Don't worry you guys, I won't be spoiling anything in this post so feel free to keep reading!

I haven't actually read The Fault in Our Stars yet but I've been on the waiting list at my library for a month! I am currently #6 on the list so hopefully it comes soon. :) I'm glad my friend and I hadn't read the book yet because we were BOTH on the edge of our seats together in the theater. It was funny though because there were only 7 people there watching the movie (including us) and I know we were the only ones that cried >.<

I have seen this mani floating around the internet but I'd like to credit Kelsie over at Kelsie's Nail Files for inspiring me. Check out her FIOS nails here! :) I started off with a blue base and then did the newspaper nail technique on top. Once the newspaper nails were dry, I then free handed the clouds and words with acrylic paint. The only polish I used in this design is Wet n Wild Listening to the Blue Reed.

I really don't have anything else to say to you guys. <3 I guess my only suggestion is to read or watch The Fault in Our Stars if you enjoy captivating love stories.

Here is one last thumb shot photo! Of course I am most proud of this nail :) This was so hard to paint but I think it turned out great! Thank you all for checking out my FIOS inspired nails and let me know what you thought of the book/movie. :) I still need to read the book!!! This was one of my first times watching a movie based on a book without reading the book first but I have no regrets since I got to experience everything with my best friend. xD :)
Your Polish Pal,
Jenna
The nails are so cute! Love it and the colors in it.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with these nails! I read the book a few weeks ago and I loved it. Now I really want to go and see the movie. It looks really good.
ReplyDeletelovely nails! I read a few chapters of the book but never finished it for some reason... I have a hard time getting into a book. I'm planning to watch the movie though :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the credit on this but it actually wasn't my original idea.. It was inspired by Cute Polish on Youtube. I can't leave the link or my comment will be marked as spam but it's really easy to find. You should include the link in your post :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and you did a beautiful job recreating it!! :)
