Gooble Gooble!

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPY Turkey Day my friends! :D Today I have for you a really simple turkey nail art tutorial for Thanksgiving (or any time of the year if you want to try out this cute fall idea ;)). So go ahead and take a look below if you are interested in learning how to create a cute little turkeys. And why yes, I did get one last chance to show off my little pumpkin! I really need to throw these little gourds away but they're my favorite! ;)

Okay, so just for the record, this tutorial won't be a "full" length tutorial, but I'll still try my best to give directions on these really simple turkeys. But first of all, it's a must to write what I am thankful for... :) So go ahead and skip this paragraph if you hate reading. (I've been getting a lot of hate on Instagram lately for writing SUPER LONG CAPTIONS. Hey, all I can say is that I'm a blogger and I write. :) So.... I'm sorry. ;) Lol, but I'm not going to change my style!)

I am thankful for obviously my wonderful family and friends. :D But now let's get original... I am thankful for cheese, glasses/contacts, ice cream, corn on the cob, socks, butter (oh yes), large pink erasers, drinking straws, rain, orange juice, printer paper, and let's finish this extremely random list with bubbles. Haha! So I love my yummy and fattening food, nail polish and cotton balls, and other luxuries. :) Okay, I'm done. ;) Go ahead a continue for the short Thanksgiving nail art tutorial. :-)

1. I drew some thin lines in a yellow, brown, orange and/or red. These will be the feathers for your turkey! I just used the nail polish brush and was very careful to create the lines. You don't need any special tools for this! Just make sure there's not TOO much nail polish on the brush when applying. :)
2. Draw one big brown dot in the middle of your new feathers :) This is going to be your turkey's head!
3. Now draw a thick brown line coming DOWN from the dot (head). This is going to be the turkey neck! I just drew thick with my nail polish paint brush too :)
4. Finally add a beak, eyes, and a wattle (the red fleshly part haha!).

The dark brown is Unplugged by China Glaze and the feathers are a unknown yellow Color Club, Harvest Moon by China Glaze, an orange nail art striper brush (doesn't have a name, I just didn't have the "right" orange), and the red is Poinsettia by China Glaze. And just in case you couldn't tell, my favorite nail polish brand is China Glaze. :)

Super cute closeup of my funky turkey nails!
And just another shot. ;)

I'm sorry for the "lack" of this lame tutorial, but it's not about nails today. It's about stuffing your face with yummy food with your family and friends and being thankful for what you have! And one of my new favorite quotes by Sherman Alexie is: "For one thing, environmentalism is a luxury. Just like being a vegetarian is a luxury. When you have to worry about eating—you're not going to be worried about where the food's coming from, or who made your shoes. Poverty, whether planned or not planned, is a way of making environmentalism moot. Even this discussion is a luxury." Just think about it. That quote makes TOTAL sense. If you have enough time to complain about something or debate something, you have at LEAST one "luxury". And Alexie implies that a luxury is anything that you don't have to worry about. So let's just stop and be thankful for anything that we don't have worry about in our life -- Especially be thankful for our basic needs that we rarely think about now. Thank you all for reading this post if you did. xD Until next time, Your Polish Pal, Jenna :)
