No Time To Be Blue!

Long time, no nails my friends! :O I believe this has officially been my longest break from doing my nails in forever... I think I wore a total of 3 different polishes in the last two weeks with minimal, if any, nail art. It was a nice break because I basically just wore glitter polish but I've missed nail art so much. So here I have a super simple accent nail design and I'm wearing one of my favorite blue polishes. :)

 

Festive Glitter Placement

Yeah, yeah, we only have TWO more days until Christmas. ;D I opted for a much more festive glitter placement mani today which was completely inspired by one of my favorite people on Instagram, Cathy @catsnails. In fact, Cathy and I decided it was time to do a #maniswap. ;) Keep reading to figure out what exactly a mani swap is and to see what we both came up with. Simple Stripes

Waaaaaahooo! Polish Pals got a makeover. ;) This last week I've been making some slight changes to my website and I'm proud to announce that I officially have a "Search It Bar" on the right hand side of the screen (when your viewing on a desktop) and a new Polish Pals banner! :D Isn't it sooooo cute?!?! A HUGE thanks to Sandra aka @beefette on Instagram for designing the perfect logo. ;D I love it a loooot. She developed like 20+ designs until we came up with this one. ;) We're in the process of making a new watermark too so stay tuned to all the changes happening here. ;)

 

Anyway! Let's get back to nails. I FINALLY had the chance to do some easy-peasy yet pretty nail art. :) It's midterm week guy so you might not see me post until this weekend...  :/ Boo.. But this is what I have on my nails at the moment. :) 

Mario Mushroom Nails

It's Marioooooooooooo! (You better be saying it in that Mario voice guys!) ;) Actually, no. This isn't Mario and I apologize for lying. It's actually Mario mushrooms! :D It's been so long since I've done some nail art so this is what you all get. Emily (IG@Blueemster) and I finally decided to do our collab (the one that we've came up with months ago but were too busy to actually do until now!). So this is what I came up with. Monarch Wing Nails

And I'm back! Just kidding... I'm not done yet. >.< But I finally got back from an AMAZING camp where I met some fantastic people. ;) I'm so sorry that I had to skip out on Sunday Swatch last week. :/ I only had 1 full day to stay home and relax until I left for Minnesota. (And by relax I truly do mean repacking and doing laundry...) Oh well, I happened to do a quick mani since I had those neon tribal nails on for TWO WEEKS. So here is a quickie post real fast of the nails that I decided to do for fun before I left for Minnesota. ;) (And note: I did my nails 2 more times after this because  won't be home for yet ANOTHER week). But hey! Butterfly wing nails! :D (Plus a mini tutorial).

Happy Father's Day guys! :D (I don't think that many men are out their reading a nail blog, haha.. but I know a few. ;)) But I'd also like to say happy day to all those women out their that have kids and are raising them single-handed -- hence playing the man's role AND woman's. Basically kudos to all of you that have kids and love and raise them! <3

Feather Nails

Hey, hey! It's finally spring weather here! :D Just last week it was snowing and 34 degrees F but now it's stinking 85 outside... So time to celebrate with some cute nails! :D Unfortunately I wasn't able to do anything cool with those pink gradient nails, but I think these turned out pretty adorable. ;)

Hey, hey! No tutorial today but I just wanted to show you how adorable my chevron nails came out ;) Or should I say chevron accent nail? Anyway, I'm not sure who "created" the look, but it's very popular out there in the nail world! xD I mean take a loo at these, aren't they super classy?! What A "Blue-tiful" Blue

WOOOOOOAH! I have been on this swatching run... I have the need to swatch EVERY polish that I own and haven't worn in a while. Alas, bottle views and paper swatches just aren't enough for me. (Paper swatching is when you test out out the polish on scrap paper). So today I decided to highlight one of Sally Hansen's most popular colors (or at least one of their best blues), Pacific Blue. :) And actually I took it one step further by added a coat of spectra flair so take a look below!

Basketball Nails Tutorial

Ahhhh... The life of a in school! I didn't realize how much reading I would have required for this quarter! It is INSANE. But I felt so bad about being a bad blogger, so I am going to start making "mini tutorials". :) That's right, they're just going to be super short ones. :) Instead of making a "full" tutorial with pictures of how all my nails looked step by step or the entire process, I'll just show one nail, like the thumb for example. Hopefully this will allow me to post more often! :) It'll definitely be a lot easier for me and hopefully a bit more beneficial for you! :D So, go ahead and take a look at my basketball nails and continue to read on if you're interested in learning how to make them. :)

Hey everyone! It is the end of the year 2012! Whooo hooo! Finally time to date our paper with 13's and look forward to the new year. :) Actually the New Year isn't really "big" for me but I am very excited for school to start up again! I miss HAVING to have to get up and ready for school plus doing work, hehe. And by my little winter scene nails below, you can tell that I haven't really had anything better to do than to do my nails. :)

Let me lose into the stars, please! Actually, please don't... I don't have my space suit or rocket ship ready! But if I did... I probably would LOVE to go into space. It would be the coolest thing to go OUTSIDE our own atmosphere into the galaxies in my opinion! But because I don't have millions of dollars or plan to go into astronomy, I'll have to settle with some galaxy nails. :) I actually already have a tutorial for Galaxy Nail Art Tutorial so you can find that in the tutorial tab OR just click HERE. :) I haven't done these since July!
