What A Jolie Fishtail! (+ tutorial)

Whooohoo! I am finally have the rest of the Taste the Crellies Collection by Jolie Polish for you today which I used in my bordered fishtail nails. :) This is going to be a long post but definitely keep reading to see 3 pretty pastel polishes and a tutorial on how I did my fishtail nails! Let's get started. ;)

The first crelly I have for you is Hey Pink Hotty!

This splendid pink is really thin but it is perfect for jelly sandwiches -- I used 4 coats and no topcoat necessary.

The second crelly is Purple Crelly

Even though the name is 'plain', I can assure you that this lavender shade is so not boring. This is your classic purple pastel polish that EVERYONE needs in their polish collection -- I used 3 coats of Purple Crelly plus a clear topcoat because it naturally dries matte.

Okay, the third and final crelly is called Teal Me This Looks Good!

I know this one is supposed to be a 'teal' color but in real life I would describe this as more of a jade. I don't own any green polish like this so I'm very happy to finally have this color in my collection -- I used 3 coats plus a topcoat since it naturally dried matte.

Phew! I am done swatching all of Jolie Polish's crelly polishes! :D It feels so good to be an official swatcher for an awesome indie polish brand and to have every polish they have ever created swatched at some point on my blog. ;) Let's get onto this nail art now!!!

You can probably see now why I wanted to use these 3 polishes together to create my fishtail (aka braided) nails. :) These pastels just go so well together!

Here is my little fishtail pictorial that I made for you all this morning! Please let me know if you have any questions on how I did this technique; I hope that the photos make it clear on the steps but I'm sure there are still some unanswered questions out there. Remember that you can use ANY colors you want for this fishtail mani! I just used 3 of my favorite pastel colors -- virtually any color combo will work though. :)
