Hey everybody! I realized I haven't posted a whole collection in a while and thought that it'd be fun to do one -- so today I have for you the Minimalist Collection by Incoco Nail Appliques which was released in March 2015.
These nail appliques are super fun yet simple geometric patterns! I love how you don't have to actually use tape to get the geometric look. :) You know me and tape... we don't work very well together... Keep reading for more photos of each individual applique!
Apex: Muted Gold with a bold reverse French triangle
I never can seem to get my triangles this perfect when I do my own tape manicures so I really appreciate just slapping these guys on and going! (No waiting for polish to dry or the dread of using scotch tape... MOOOHAHA).
I'm holding Orly Luxe just for pose purposes but remember since these are Incoco nail strips, you don't need ANY polish. They're actually made out of nail polish themselves (instead of icky plastic which is SO AWESOME).
Finale: Converging and intersecting purple lines on muted gold
Once again, do my striping tape manicures ever turn out this perfect? No.
I absolutely adore the gold and purple combo. <3 This time I'm holding and wearing Sinful Colors Amethyst as an accent nail. :)
Echo: A black & white linear and geometric design
This design was super minimalistic. The wraps themselves look so pretty but it seemed too simple for me. It was just a bummer that a lot of Echo's design seemed to be cut off when placed on the nail. Luckily my nails are relatively long right now but for gals with shorter nail beds, Echo may not be the best choice out of this collection.
I am holding Sinful Colors Black on Black and once again am wearing it as an accent!
Forte: Strong, classic red with a touch of black
Man, this Incoco applique is looking mighty stylish! I personally call this design a sideways French tip because the colored part is on the side isn't of the tip... xD Haaaa, not very innovative but oh well. ;)
On the nail it still looks good but a fellow blogger, Stephanie from A Little Polish, made a really good point that the black doesn't end up being even all the time which can bug a lot of OCD people.
If you wanted to do a sideways French tip, it may be easier to just do it yourself with tape than try to get the appliques to lay perfectly but these are still nice.
Prelude: Neutral beige with a slim black color block
And here is Forte's twin nail applique but in a much more neutral color!
Once again, the uneven black strip may bug a lot of people but the colors do go really well together and this design certainly follows Incoco's minimalistic idea.
And that is the end of Incoco's Minimalist Collection where "Less is more." :) Without a doubt, my favorite appliques were Apex and Finale! Each of these applique sets retail for $8.99 which you can purchase online.
Out of the 5 designs, which Incoco Appliques from the Minimalist Collection are your favorite?
Your Polish Pal,
Jenna
